My oldest son is going to be going to college next year, and I want to start helping him to look for a college to go to, so that he has his plans in place far ahead of time for him to actually graduate. I believe that always makes the transition a bit easier. My son has always been very interested in music and I know he would like to go to a music production school if I can find a college that has a good program for that. He has played music for most of his life, and began playing piano when he was only 4 years old. He was always very quick to pick up a new instrument.
But lately, he has shifted his interests away from learning new instruments and playing them, and towards music production. I guess that is his big interest these days. I am glad that he knows what he wants to do, but I must admit that I did not have a clue what I was going to do when I was his age. I just want to make sure that I can find a college that is going to be good for him to go to. But of course, beyond just finding a school that is good for him to go to, I also need to be able to find a college that he will want to go to. That is just as important, if not more important, if you ask me. I haven’t talked to him a whole lot about where he wants to go to school, or whether he has any schools in mind at this moment. We should probably start putting in applications soon though, so it would be nice if he could figure this out before too long.
