Depressing Things Sometimes Turn out to Be Good Things

I lost my job, and then I had trouble finding one for many months. Losing my job meant that I also lost the home that I was renting. That may seem terrible at first, but it ended up being how I found my next job working with a company that handles post tenancy cleaning in Singapore for a wide variety of homes and apartments. I’ve done really well with the company and have even moved up to a management position. Everything in life does not always end up well, but I think most things do. Luckily, troubles I’ve been going through recently have turned out okay in the end.

The reason that I was fired from my work had to do with the depression that I have been diagnosed with. I felt so melancholy on and off over the past couple of years. I had no idea that it was depression at first. In fact, I only somewhat noticed the problem while it was going on each time. Finally, I had a 6 month period where I felt down and blue every single day. I began pulling away from other people. I cared less and less about doing things that I had always liked doing. I was struggling at work to get anything done. My boss called me in and told me that I had used up all my chances that it was time for me to leave the company.

After I lost my job, I put in an application at many different companies, but I did not get any callbacks for an interview. I became even more depressed, and soon, I could not keep up with paying rent anymore. I moved in with a friend after promising her that I would find a job. Before I left the home that I had been living in, I learned that there were people coming by to clean up the place after I left. That is when I learned that there are companies that clean up rental homes and apartments. I put in an application and they hired me the next day.
